The gold streak is an homage to kintsugi: repair made visible rather than hidden. FIRST is not pretending it was never broken.

The central hole is not a missing piece, wound, or accidental absence. It is an intentional aperture built into the form.

FIRST broadcasts the feeling of a threshold before crossing, a door before opening, a first mark before meaning has fully arrived.

FIRST is the Engine of origin, initiation, and the first condition required for anything else to follow.

It is not merely the first object in a sequence. It is the permission for sequence itself: the point after which events can become ordered, named, remembered, and made consequential.
